Lauren is the Head of Cerebral, an affiliate of Grey Matter. Her primary area of specialisation and passion is to coach and facilitate leadership and team processes aimed at enhancing the overall wellbeing, effectiveness and performance within organisations.
She has over a decade of work experience as an organisational development (OD) consultant, facilitator, trainer and executive coach.
She is a registered Industrial Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa which informs her practice. The bulk of her experience has been at financial institutions as an OD Consultant for a diverse client base ranging from risk, credit, marketing, IT to front line banking divisions both locally and globally. She consults externally to a range of listed and unlisted companies at a strategic level.
She assists various entities to effectively create an environment that helps build and enable sustainable success through their people. She continues to partner with previous financial institutions on their leadership development programmes, diversity and inclusion programmes, women in leadership programmes as well as coaching and mentoring programmes.
Lauren has run and rolled out various diversity and inclusion programmes, which are underpinned by psychological and behavioural science theories. They are aimed at enabling organisations to work at the personal, interpersonal, institutional and cultural level.
Her women-centric programmes focus on enabling and empowering women to recognise their own sources of power and to build a general “appreciation” of their individual and collective influence as leaders.
